Note that the Toronto FHC will be closed for the holidays from Friday, December 21, 2018 to Monday, January 7, 2019 inclusive.

Please be advised that, effective October 30, 2018, the Toronto Family History Centre will reopen on Tuesdays.  The hours will be Tuesdays from 9:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. and Thursdays from 6:30 p.m - 9:30 p.m.  Note that, while progress has been made, we are continuing to work on improvements to our computer system.

Please be advised that the Toronto Family History Centre is closed temporarily due to technical difficulties.  However, we will remain open, on a limited basis, only on Thursday evenings from 6:30 to 9:30.

Toronto Family History Centre Closing April 3rd 2018 until further notice

The Toronto Family History Centre is closing April 3rd until further notice.

NEW – SIGN IN REQUIRED FOR FAMILYSEARCH

To use FamilySearch at the Family History Centre or at home, you are now required to login with a user name and password.

If you have ordered FHL films in the past, you can use that user name and password.

If you have not, please create a user name and password by going to SIGN IN on the familysearch.org website.  It is easy.  You will enter your name, a user name, a password of 8 characters and your email address.  You will need to enter a couple more identifying items.  It is quick and easy; no credit card is required.

You should sign in to FamilySearch before looking for the films or records that you want.

Current Hours and Christmas Break

Current hours are:  Tuesday 9:30am-2pm; Wednesday and Thursday 6:30pm-9:30pm.

Closed for Christmas from December 15th to January 8th inclusive.

Hours effective starting July 1st to September 11th

For the summer, we will only be open on Tuesdays, 9:30am to 2pm.  Patrons are reminded to call ahead and book a computer or film reader.
